It doesn't have to be funny, but there is humor in SW. And when it's done right, it works.

I think TFA and Rogue One in different ways tries to be funny, in one or two scenes it’s a bit much, but in each case it’s mostly a success. Both are enjoyable and sometimes funny as well. I wouldn’t say there is more humor in TLJ, probably less, but where it tries, it mostly fails. Porgs are the opposite of funny to me. Perhaps better for kids, although I wouldn’t call it a kids movie.
