Last I checked all those countries rank far higher on any quality of life scales than the US does.

I really don't think they need Team America World Police's help combating their apparent woke-uprisings.

But yeah, great vid. JD's really owning those leftist pussies.
Yes, I do think a lot of people feel that their actual rights are being trampled, which is why your parties are losing popularity, despite every effort to make voting for anyone else illegal.

I don't much give a shit about what you do in your countries. You do you. My problem, as I said, is that stupid shit being imported here. No fucking thanks. Maybe you, being a big fan of the nanny state, don't mind loss of freedoms so long as your material comfort is preserved, but we are not the same.
I get that the right is rising across the globe and that's whatever it is. Sign of the times, a natural change of direction as constantly occurs, though probably mostly incumbent governments being pushed aside due to simple economics of people pissed off about their money not going as far as it once did. But don't give me this tough guy bullshit. It's pretty embarrassing tbh.

And you seem to have decided I am some huge fan of the nanny state - you've said it to me on numerous occasions. I'm too old for it, never been a fan. Personally I'd like the government to leave me the fuck alone. But I don't care if that's what you think, have at it.

I get it - Trump's your guy and he's cleaning house. USA USA. But when you post that shit referencing the EU or wherever it's pretty rank. Like you know the first thing about the struggles of going through occupation or having your homelands forcibly taken from you.

But I guess you'd just say "you should be tougher" or "you should be spending more on defence". It's always nice looking at other people's problems from a position of such privilege and power.

Your frame of reference and mine are very very different Burt. I find some of the shit you post really offensive. But whatever. Free Speech for you and all that.
thanks for capitalizing it.

You're in a thread about the president of the United States despite not living here. It seems a little silly that you take umbrage at me criticizing the idiocy coming out of Europe in return. I don't think it takes a lot of toughness to point out the gaping problems that a lot of Europe has with actual free speech. Luckily there are a few people there who do actually think it's a problem as well.
Do you have a problem with me being in a thread about the US president despite my not living there?

Post what you want Burt, we're here for discussion aren't we? If it pisses me off I'll say as much. But yeah, you are coming across as all US alpha here and that's kinda weird to me (but perhaps given the state of things over your way I shouldn't be surprised).

You mention the gaping problems that a lot of Europe has with free speech - do you really know that's the case or is it just what you get from your daily twitter scrape? Anders - you live there, you too dime. What's your guy's opinions on your free speech? Do you feel oppressed? JD seems to think you are, I'd be interested to hear your takes.

If Norwegians that vote for all our various political parties, made a list of problems with our country, or policies we need to change, I do not think problems with free speech would be in the top one hundred topics.

Last two times I was in the UK, I witnessed multiple instances of people yelling at coppers, telling them to fuck off, and calling them wankers, all without consequence. I think they are doing fine with free speech.

American isolation in this instance will result in nothing but cruel results for Americans.
Global capital and the whims of idiots and trillionaire idiots wid their fan boys are two relevant.
Idiots and the obviously instigated idiots like Burt aren’t here for that. They’re here to sell you that it’s a good thing. And it’ll be good for you.
I’d rather focus and will, on that level now. They’re here fucking rm up in every instance and somehow allowed to. So let’s look at that. and fuck them up in return.

Rather than out of context clips the entire Vance speech is below. He’s correct that you cannot secure freedom and democracy across the world without first securing it at home, and you cannot secure it at home if you restrict what can is acceptable for people to think

You're like the most agreeable, non-threatening people on the planet. I can't imagine free speech being much of an issue for people who seldom have anything very offensive or counter to the accepted narrative to say.

I've mentioned before about my being a first generation Australian, both parents being from Lithuania, both born in a free, independent Lithuania, both having to escape their home country when the Russians invaded in 1940. My roots are there so that's where my interest stems.

Researching my Mum's Eulogy recently I had cause to go over her history (I was already pretty down on my Dad's) and I guess that's made me more sensitive to this sort of stuff lately.

But yeah, I'm invested in what happens over there. The current US "plan" to end the Ukraine war terrifies me. Giving Putin what he wants there and pulling out of NATO is an effective death sentence for the Baltic States as a start. That's nothing but fucked up.

Of course we all get our news and info from wherever we do, but then perhaps a little deference to the possibility that our sources are full of shit is in order at times. I appreciate that you are in many ways fighting your own battle here on RM but that doesn't exempt you from coming across as a know it all dick at times when you post shit like Big Ball's JD there.

But of course, post your opinions and thoughts, no probs at all, they're at least as valid as mine.

He lists several examples in the clip on the previous page, but I assume this was targeted at the draconian online censorship laws being enacted and the active suppression of anti-immigrant parties in places like France and Germany. Listen before you judge

I don't care how I come across. there is in fact, an increasing problem with free speech being trampled on. This isn't the internet. This is actual, real world consequences. you are right on this but not for the reasons you think

is it dems or republicans who have been banning books? or OMG drag queens are performing at a library we need to stop this right now. the current sitting president and his press secretary arent taking questions from news organizations saying all they do is lie and they are in violation so they will revoke you do not call it the gulf of america. if that isnt trampling on free speech i dont know what the fuck is

Most of you are politically aligned and say far worse shit about American conservatives (and thus a lot of my friends and family members) but that doesn't register as "being a dick" here because it's mostly a big echo chamber, and most of the people who take offense to it have been banned or left by now.

Whatever, that's fine and all, just don't get upset when I use blunt language about the left and the very stupid anti-freedom turns it's taken recently. I don't feel any need to sugarcoat it. That's my BI_3 second account's job

(i could definitely make whole threads out of the stuff I actually see). I think, despite it not affecting most people, I can criticize freezing bank accounts of protestors, or talk of banning the AfD because they are getting too many votes, for two examples .

If posting a clip of JD Vance makes me come across as a know-it-all dick on here, I don't know what I can possibly do about that.

That's my BI_3 account's job
jesus christ you have a ITT we hate on progressives. are you seriously so narrow minded you cant see you are everything you accuse everyone else of?
