There was some talk about the merits of Rotten Tomatoes a while ago (I think in this thread). I took a look at the RT score for my top 20 films of the last few years:

of note: The top three, and four of the top five, are all below 80%. The top ten only has three movies at 90% or above. And my list is criminally low on non-American films, so take that for what it is.
