It will be interesting to see if there are any scenes in the trailer that line up with some of the rumors that have being going around.

Don’t engage in rumours. You’ll only be mislead.

I’m not worried about being misled. Just curious. I get a good laugh at TheForce.net Jedi Council forums talk of Episode 9

When I saw TLJ, I went with a friend and his two young kids. They are like 8 and 12, and just getting into Star Wars and loving it. One of them said something while we were waiting to get in that was just a kid being a kid and probably not factually correct. Some grown ass man and self declared "huge" Star Wars fan, corrected her. GTFO with that shit. It's why I'll probably avoid opening night. I want to enjoy the whole experience, and stuff like that just ruins it for me.

I wouldn’t correct some kid I didn’t know. That’s weird.

I'll go early on a Sunday morning, like a week after the show opens. Families and their kids will be in church, and all the dumbass "super fans" will still be sleeping after being up all night talking on a message board about how they just saw it for the 8th time.

I bet that guy felt pretty good about himself when he got home.
“Mom? Dad? I just correct a kid while in line for The Last Jedi!”
Mom: “when are you moving out of our house?”

I haven’t done opening night since AOTC.
Now me and my brother wait for a noon showing opening weekend or the weekend after.

I imagine the experience was similar to when Skitch took his kids to the My Little Pony movie and there were nothing but Bronies there. Although that was probably way creepier.

Been to opening night on allthe new star wars. Ive actually had good experiences. I guess there aren't too many dork fans here in the mountains. Or, at least, the people that do go are just super excited about seeing a star wars movie again. Always been a fun experience with joyous people and no internet assholes.

I've had really positive experiences for opening night showings as well. For the Force Awakens there were some really excited and nice high school kids behind us that had never seen a SW film in a theater. Pretty cool to see their level of enthusiasm.
