The three best teams in the national league are in the same division. Divisions are stupid.

I think you need divisions when there are thirty teams.

People always whine about this when their team isn't good enough to win their division and therefore has a harder path.

I think the five team/three division in two leagues set up is perfect. I wish the wild card game was a best of three series but oh well.

One earned run or less in 5 of his last 7 starts.

Go Tigers today!

you mean the completely arbitrary lines of demarcation among teams drawn up by MLB? damn you Pittsburgh for being further away from St. Louis than Colorado yet being in the same division -- you should be better than the best team in baseball and not take the easier way of blowing past the other division winners with less wins than you.

by the way, you can keep the divisions and reward the winners with an automatic playoff qualification. but don't use divisions to seed the teams.

I think MLB has it set up really well right now. I wouldn't change a thing.

The cubs have what? The fourth best record in baseball?

I would contract the Red Sox. Nobody wears red sox with exception of maybe Ronald McDonald.

This NL Central thing is so rare. Remember not too long ago when it was like the weakest division in baseball? The current divisional set up is fine.

The only things I'd love to see is to reduce the regular season back to 154 games, and make the wild card playoffs a 3 game series.

I'd rather it just go back to four teams making the playoffs, honestly. I don't want the three division winners sitting around for 3-5 days waiting to start the playoffs while the two wild card teams play each other. No matter how you align things, people will find a way to whine about someone not making the playoffs (or making the playoffs but having to play a one-game series). A 95 win team that finishes third in its division and has to play a one-game playoff isn't exactly the 1993 Giants here.

Disagree entirely. The current system is awesome and makes the end of the season so exciting.

How many seasons genuinely have no exciting races in the final week, under any format?
