Baskets was a good show. Louie Anderson was rightly lauded for his performance, but I think Galifinakis was also pretty great

Yesterday I had a sudden flashback and remembered one of my favorite things I've ever seen on TV: when Edgar died on 24. I've never laughed so hard.

Whichever one has Jonathan lithgow, that’s the best season and it’s all useless after then
Really? That's S4, so maybe I'll give it until then.
Season Four is amazing. It's easily the best season of the series. Definitely watch that one. And then, yeah, you can bail.
Almost done with S4 and can pretty safely say that you guys are wrong about this. S2 was the best, S4 has good moments but overall feels kind of slapdash and goofy.

I thought it was the first season to understand and achieve the tone the show was aiming for from the start.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Again, disagree--Lithgow is fun to watch on screen but at this point it's re-treading the same storyline as the previous three seasons (someone truly understands Dexter but they have to die) and the writing is sloppy to the point of incredulity--the entire premise, for instance, of the Tampa episode is absurd. It's still fun but it's neither as funny nor as interesting as the first two seasons.

Based on Mickey's S4 take I think he'll love everything that comes after. He definitely should not stop.

I would actually say there's the same amount of intended comedy in S4--it's not noticeably darker, it's just less successful at managing the tonal shifts so a lot of it comes off as flat. But the unbelievability is the real kicker. Dexter's not social realism but Quinn's reporter gf who maybe shot Deb is also Trinity's secret daughter? Come on.

We're solidly hate-watching now and are going to stop at the end of the season.

Finally got around to season 3 of Fargo after having it sit on our DVR for 3 years. 4 episodes in and I'm enjoying it. Plus Carrie Coon is good in everything.
