I’m not harassing him. I have pretty moderate views on guns. I’m asking why the gun side chooses to just do nothing. Every poll shows that certain things (background checks, for example) have very wide support, even among gun owners. So why can’t it get done? He posted a tweet with one explanation, so I gave my opinion.

The gun side points fingers at the other side and asks to be the ones in charge. They don’t even do the things their own members say they want. So maybe… I dunno. Another way?

It shouldn’t take a crisis or mass shooting event. I would be perfectly fine with the gun rights side being in charge of the law if they showed they were capable. Public opinion vs things done does not reflect this, and hasn’t for a long time.

It's not an argument, nor is it harassment, to ask why we need these types of guns. His response was "to protect us from tyranny", to which I asked, "how?"

To which he asked me to, "try and take all the guns away!"

I'll continue to wait for an actual response. And when he posts in reply to other things, I'll remind him of the cricket sounds I hear in response to my question.
