Is it a fact that the more trailers and teasers a studio releases, it's usually a sign the film is pretty bad? Or is that a myth?

Re: Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015)
My wife isn't a Star Wars fan. She can't remember whether or not she's even seen Jedi.
Anyway, we went to see The Martian yesterday and they played the trailer for The Force Awakens. She turned to me when it was over, she looked like a little kid, just full of real joy and said, "WHAT?!!"
After, when we were walking home, she couldn't stop talking about how great the movie looked.

We talked about that. She might want to wait on revisiting until after she see's TFA. I think that might be kinda fun. Especially if TFA really does mirror the setup of ANH.Strat wrote:Time to sit her down and tear through the OT, yea??durdencommatyler wrote:My wife isn't a Star Wars fan. But she did say she was fine never seeing the prequels again. She's totally fine pretending those aren't a thing.

My wife is fully unmoved by the Star Wars trailers. I've accused her of sabotaging our marriage by even admitting that.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

B, I'm so sorry to hear you're getting divorced.
