Stip, I know Ed's meditations on aging during Lightning Bolt made a strong impression on you.
I felt similarly about MJK on FI.
It's a bit of a monolithic beast, but, once that record gets under your skin....shivers
Pneuma is one of the best songs in their catalog, imo

I love Descending but don't really care much for the rest. The whole album is way too meandering for me

Definitely!
You see the "drum cam" footage they put out around the time of the album's release of Danny Carey playing that live?
Incredible.
Descending is a good one, Mike.

Oh yeah.
It's become a kind of a benchmark in the Youtube community.

I think he was in full Celtics garb, both jersey and shorts.

Larry Legend, the most soft-spoken, yet incredibly savage, shit-talker in NBA history...What an assassin.

I got a pair of Legend 33 shorts, with Sesame Street's Big Bird and all.
I'm kind of shy to wear them in public though

some day i should give it another try. these do seem like songs that will take some time to open up but I only liked a few songs on 10000 Days (which got a lot of time) and that one listen made it clear (to me) that this record was leaning into their most self indulgent impulses. when every song is 8 minutes it asks a lot of you and i was just waiting for that record to end

Led Zeppelin might say otherwise. Actually, love albums with multiple 8 minute songs and wish Pearl Jam would be brave enough to push that at least once before they are done.

Truth be told, the only reason why Gigaton leaked here last time is because I had the physical CD in my possession almost two weeks out.
I unfortunately no longer have the same relationships, I'm afraid.
The listening parties will free this thing.
