Can we talk about how "in fine voice" Ed sounds on this thing? I don't know what dials Wotman is turning, or how much of this is repeatable live (let's be honest), but he's hitting some nice highs and sounding clear as crystal (all caveats of muffled door leak etc).

the one you pointed out does sound like vintage PJ, with the break, riff without drums, then the crescendo and doubling up on the snare? hope it's as ridiculous as it sounds

I think that starting with Gigaton, someone finally talked Ed into going back to a dynamic mic, which is much more forgiving if there are some warts on your aging voice

How are you all discerning this much from that snippet? I'm as excited about this album as anybody, but I can't hear any of the detail you're all talking about from that clip.
