If you can take a bike through that same path...
then run home with the back on your back

It's definitely bikeable. If I go through the park I have to deal with a big hill on the way there. Taking country roads around it only adds a mile or so.

One of my jobs is a 5K from my house, I've run it in the past but don't for that same reason. With the weather turning the bike has been a great alternative.

Had a good 6 miler this morning. Celebrated by buying some fancy running shorts.

What kind of shorts?

I did a 10k in the Speeds Monday. Man, what a shoe. I almost feel guilty running in them.

They're from Path Projects. The shorts have a bunch of pockets for your phone, gels and keys, and the liner is separate. They're apparently super comfortable.

I have a couple pairs of Tracksmith shorts. Sometimes I wear them for multiple runs over other clean pairs I have because I like them so much. Expensive though.

I've had Tracksmith stuff in my cart a couple times but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Most of my stuff is from the Nike or Under Armor outlet. Except my socks. I don't cut corners on socks.

Just went back to Path for a hoodie and t-shirt. This is why my wife and I keep separate checking accounts.

It's race week mofos. First real race since November 2019 when I nearly Dion Waiters'd myself the night before and got lost on a 10k trail in my hometown. Hopefully this goes better.

The bridge that bisects my favorite park is getting demolished and rebuilt over the next year. I took a detour under it today for shits and grins to get a good look at the wreckage and I realized way too late that the ground around the construction site is nearly a foot thick with mud.

My poor Bostons are caked.

5k felt sh*tty most of the time, but it's been over two weeks since i've run...beat my conservative pace goal at least, so i'm not upset
