My Friends by Fredrik Backman (A Man Called Ove). Very sweet. Reminded me of “The Body” (Stand by Me). I teared up several times.

Nice. Let me know what you think about it when you finish.
FINALLY finished this.

Took way longer than it should have because of extenuating factors. But I really enjoyed it. It's not as strong overall as Flamethrowers but it's so atmospheric and thought provoking. I'm so glad I read it and so grateful for Rachel Kushner's work. She's just a stunning writer.

Anyway, on to the next...

Think I'm gonna try The Crying of Lot 49 by Pynchon

Wasn't aware of this one but definitely added it to the list. As far as New York goes I have The Unmaking of a Mayor by William F. Buckley Jr. coming up.

Just finished up Holly by Stephen King.

Blows my mind on much I love reading his work. Even when it's uneven, there's almost always something in it to keep me flipping pages.

I thought this one was excellent, though.

oh yeah, Pet Sematary and Misery. I started pretty strong.

Thing is, i knew the guy from the movies and i became a fan. I was what 7 when that movie came out? and i had a friend who had an older brother who had them, and had It, The Stand and others...i was obsessed dude. I finally got my mom to buy those two under the arrangement that i wasnt ¨going to be scared at night¨

pff yeah mom whatever just give them to me!!! of course i was afraid at night but i managed to look super cool the other morning so it seemed ok.
