I've been thinking that if this gets the full band treatment they should take a play from the R.E.M. playbook and give it the "Let Me In" treatment. Not referring to the vocals, but everything else.

I think they could have more great albums in them. Perhaps if they played around with the music together rather than all writing apart and then coming together to discuss. I think most of us would agreed that the whole of Pearl Jam is greater than the sum of its parts, which is why they sound great live. Perhaps they get back to that they begin to put together stronger material? I am just speculating though and have no idea but to say I still root for them to get an album together.

No Code isn't exactly the first thing that comes to my mind from Can't Deny Me. Mike also said back in the day how Avocado was Vs. 2.

I can understand that. And even if the album sucks at least they will tour again

right now i'm more willing to take a $15 gamble on an album, versus a $500 concert excursion.

I could see this going another 2 or 3 years. They might have changed but I think they would want their last album to be listenable. Maybe multiple 6 week sessions. The harder they work, the more time off they will need.
