My first basketball memory was my Dad punching the wall in our small ranch home when the Bulls lost home court advantage in the playoffs after a regular season loss to I believe the Hornets. I may have been about 6 at the time. It knocked down some trinket of my mothers that was displayed on the wall and I remember her reaction like...'its just a game'. After the dynasty was over my dad lost interest. I think there were a lot of people like him. Jordan was once in a lifetime and trying to watch Randy Brown or whoever instead of MJ was a tough ask. The Bulls don't compete as an organization, they just count money while they wait for lightning to strike. 08-12 Derrick Rose was so much fun and I identify with his injuries and new normal in ways maybe some people don't. The Bulls have always created a weird and strange sense of loyalty inside me. I watch 82 games a year....the childhood memories of the dynasty. Standard def TV. Bob fucking Costas. Its impossible not to hate anything that isn't a part of that. Hate, always hate.....

The Warriors are going to get that record and I'm cool with it. The Bulls and I need to burn in basketball hell for a few years and stripping away some of the dyansty stuff the old white guys in the front office who really really like the state of Iowa cling to is going to be part of that process. When you guys watch from here on out, just know that I'm out there somewhere, being a hater, waiting for the Bulls to stumble into their next once in a generation talent.

I've been posting here for about 10 years. At first I did so earnestly. Sometimes I went dormant, maybe for years at a time. I've trolled a lot as well and won't deny that. Mostly the trolling came as a result of the lack of human connection I have to this place. It truly is just a habit to pop in here and has been for a long time. Which is not to say there aren't some nice people floating around. Joey and Strat are sweet guys. I can also tell Ruddo is someone who has a lot of character. The guy who offered me a spare RNDM ticket a few weeks back. I couldn't go but I'm sure it would have been a positive experience if I did. I could list a handful more of you guys....

The thing is, I just don't really care anymore. It takes up way too much time and when you get about 15 years past the use by date on a Pearl Jam message board what you are left with are mostly assholes anyway. Sad, fucked up, assholes.

Fuck it, its not worth it. My life is pretty awesome and I won't miss it.

I hope so. 41-0 would be really cool. I guess either way a Spurs-Warriors series will be the playoff series featuring the best teams to ever meet in the playoffs, but it'd add to it if one of them were 41-0 at home and the other were 72-10.
