There was confusion because of the electrical fire this morning. When word of the explosion there came down a lot of people thought it was just confusion with the fire.
All the local media outlets are out in full force today anyway, they have the resources.

NBC News says BPD is guarding a wounded person they are calling a possible suspect at a hospital.

Sniffer dogs were present at the start of the race and people were being told it's just a drill. Did they have prior info?

who knows. but i would expect that's at least standard protocol for an event like this. i know i've seen that at other sporting events

There are always sniffer dogs at the start of the race. The thing is, it becomes near impossible to have dogs sniffing around during the race due to the crowds. They're speculating that these bombs were small, carried in backpacks, and dropped casually in trash bins during the race. There are lots of cameras in that area too.

They've retracted on the JFK explosions. There was only a fire there. Ed Davis just came on and said that.
