I entertained the idea of looking into Cage’s insane body of equally bonkers work early on in the pandemic, but ended up getting a Criterion subscription instead.
Rented Pig this week and loved it, so tonight I watched Mom and Dad. Goddamn what a fun couple of films.
I’ve got a list teed up now; probably won’t watch a movie without Cage in it for some months.

Pig was absolutely fantastic. Complete shock. I was not expecting that film considering the stuff he had been putting out the past year or so. Just a lovely film. Perfect maybe.McParadigm wrote:I entertained the idea of looking into Cage’s insane body of equally bonkers work early on in the pandemic, but ended up getting a Criterion subscription instead.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent
For someone that has quite the trouble with money, this could be a fairly interesting performance.Premise wrote:Nicolas Cage begrudgingly accepts a $1 million offer to attend the birthday of a Mexican billionaire super fan. When things take a wild turn, Nic is forced to become a version of some of his most iconic and beloved characters in order to extricate his wife and daughter from the fan who is a notorious drug lord.

Prisoners Of The Ghostland.
I was kinda letdown with this one, specially because i loved Why Dont You Play In Hell? a few years ago. The movie has two amazing set pieces, some great moments but its mostly a incoherent mess.
Nic is so good tough...his scene with the bike is priceless.
