Dude, I have stomach problems. Sometimes my farts leave a runny mess.
Think I’m going to try being kind to everyone a chance.

Are those the hesitation marks before he completely kills NIN? For all we know that's what his his wife calls the fart stains on his underwear.
Um, nobody has 'over-thought' this any more than you just did.

Why do people do that on this site? "I really think you guys are over-thinking this. Here is my equally complex theory, listen up."

Ask for Trent's first born, you may change the state of modern music.

There's a deluxe edition of the CD, which is also available for pre-order from NIN.com and Amazon. It will be set up like the deluxe edition of the new Depeche Mode album: hardcover book thing with an extra disc that will have, in NIN's case, a few remixes on it.

I pre ordered this thing and am starting to regret it. The more I think about it, the less likely I think this will be something on par with NIN up until With Teeth. The Fragile and With Teeth especially took a long time to write and record. I just don't see how a song like We're In This Together ends up part of this record considering the obscene amount of hours he put into recording just that song. The really strong NIN albums have been a labor of love, not a case of a few songs for a greatest hit record snowballing into an entire record....

Call me a pessimist or whatever. I'm thinking this sounds like 'a logical extension' of The Slip come September 3.
