- he was amazing but I feel like they wrapped up his story in a really satisfying way . I'll miss him but I don't know that I want any more of him

- He's just too good a villain to waste, though. I mostly agree, they wrapped up his story really well. But killing him is a bad idea. Like killing Joker. You want to keep your options open with a villain like that.

Watched 3 episodes of this last night.
Some bad dialogue, the voice-over and "noir" aspects of the show aren't done particularly well and there's some really poor acting.
That being said, I do like the title character and Krysten Ritter is excellent.
I'll probably finish it.

I finished this last night, and I really liked it, too. David Tennant fucking nailed it as Kilgrave. Really funny, really evil, just so fun to watch. And Ritter was great, too. I liked Luke Cage and all, but I'm worried she'll outshine him in his show (I wonder how much she'll be in it).
My only complaint would be that there was too much time spent on boring characters (the lawyer's whole subplot, Patsy's mom). But that's minor, as it was never took up substabtial chunks.

I liked Carrie Ann Moss's subplot quite a bit.

Finished this. Good, not great. Certainly better than most of the other Marvel garbage. Ritter was great and Tennant was fantastic. I was also happy to see the "detective noir" aspects of the show start to dissipate.
I'm a little worried going forward, however, because Kilgrave was really what made the show and with him gone I'm skeptical that they'll be able to have a character who raises my interest. Most of the other players were thinly drawn. Luke, in particular, was terrible.

As great as the characters and writing was, I agree that I'm a little nervous about whether or not she'll be interesting outside of this story.

i think youll see killgrave come back. not a central role like he had the first season but back none the less
in the comics jess gets knocked up by luke. killgrave threatens to rape and beat her. cage goes ballistic

Finished this tonight. I thought it was uneven but enjoyable. The fight scenes and anytime they displayed powers was pretty awful. Loved the relationship between Trish and Jessica. Killgrave was good. I'm still not entirely sure the point of the Carrie Anne Moss character. Malcolm was good but the crazy redhead upstairs made me wish Killgrave told me to jump off a roof. The guy who plays Luke Cage was kind of a dud I can't imagine him carrying a show. He was a disappointment. I didn't realize Simpson was Nuke. I didn't put that together till I read this thread. I didn't know his real name. He was over the top but I guess it fit the character in retrospect. Surprised that the narrative here and other places is that this was better than Daredevil. Mostly I just glad they didn't kill
- Spoiler: show
- Trish.

This about sums it up for me.
I really enjoyed certain aspects of this show, but a lot of it was messy, tonally inconsistent and somewhat hackneyed. Episode 10 in particular is not just the worst episode of the season, but one of the worst hours of television I've ever watched. Sean Collins had a good
piece about it.
All in all, I did think this was Marvel's best TV project. I hope they build on its best aspects in the second season (if there is one).
