My Little Pony the Movie came out yesterday so I took the kids to see it. Featured a couple Hollywood A list types (most notably Emily Blunt and Liev Scheiber).
The animation looked nicer than the show, but the plot was about as generic as you'd expect, only a LOT of it felt rushed. Interesting that I don't even think we saw the Cutie Mark Crusaders in it. Honestly, there was virtually no time given to the secondary characters outside of cameos. Overall I think most of the 2 part episodes that generally bookend each season are quite a bit more compelling than the movie was.

I'm taking my girls to see this this afternoon. We are a few seasons behind on the show, but I have to assume that won't matter
