Is anything happening on Recife, HB?
Yes, this very thursday is the big day here, the downtown is packed, the rest of the city pretty much closed down to avoid traffic.

I thought about going when I realized a lot of young hot women are there, but i too damn tired and I need to rest for the São João.

They are very smart, and can (or could) control their public really well.
They put 100 reais on bolsa familia and then take 1000 in taxes.

Right now, Dilma is doing an emergency reunion with her ministers... Let's see what will happen...
She is not dumb, since she haven't speak in public since the opening of the Confederation Cup, where she was boo-ed, and she won't.
Yesterday, the protesters tried to invade the Congress at Brasilia, and she was there, at the Congress... She know she is in danger, even of death, 'cause if the protesters reach her, it's a HUGE chance of she getting killed... And if this happens... Civil war will be declared for sure, or worse, another dictatorship...
And this is not what we are fighting for, this is the work of a minority group of rioters who thinks violence will solve everything, and bad people who are using this moment to steal, depredate and just to "party" the way they want. Thankfully, the media is passing this information that is only a small group of people that are doing this... And this is truth. I'v been in 2 marches, and they were really pacific.

We are trying to have focus on what we want, but everybody know that the Brazilian people loves some noise, and so, a lot of people are going to the marches just to "go to the march"... And this worries me.

Anyway, any news, I'll be posting here, and if something actually happens to me (lets hope not), I'll let you know somehow.

ERRATUM: The death was in Ribeirão Preto - São Paulo, not in Belo Horizonte.

I see. Its really interesting for me to have another point of view on some of the politics in the region.
So they have gained the bolsa familia and at the same time the taxes? Maybe their politics are more oriented towards to those people who have less?

I was in Venezuela this year and it really surprised me the division between Chavez´s supporters and those again him.
Not only because it a a class division, but because of what they said and defend.

Is this riot something similar Kurt?

Yeah, i know...it might be a little rude to put something like just because something is happening faraway from your home.
