Why does anyone give a fuck about hearing a song or two before the rest of the album if the band clearly indends that you hear the singles ahead of the album?

In the long-term, no, but it would certainly make the initial exploration of that material much less enjoyable.

I can definitely wait if I know there's an official release coming soon, the trade-off of hearing the songs earlier doesn't seem worth it.

I've already pre-ordered so they've got my money. I'm not necessarily going to seek out new tracks but I hear them I hear them.
