Purple and Tiny Music are both great albums worth checking out. They kinda lost me after that.

I like a few Spoon songs, "The Delicate Place" and "The Underdog," but haven't really delved into their catalog other than a few listens to the albums those songs come from. They're certainly better than a lot of other indie rock of that time period, though.
Actually, now that I think of it, there's probably a bunch of artists that I found enjoyable songs from that I put on mixes in college but never went any further. Clinic, Super Furry Animals, ... And You Will Know Us By the Trail of the Dead, etc.

The Bear, Bermuda Highway, and Golden are all solid examples imo.

Ok. I know these songs. Never associated with Toto.
It’s not even about whether you’ve happened to hear more than one of a said artists songs; it’s about whether you’ve intentionally explored their body of work after falling for a particular song. Considering that’s how we discover new music typically.
rosanna is about rosanna arquette..you learned something about toto today
Fake news!
The song was written by David Paich, who has said that the song is based on numerous girls he had known. As a joke, the band members initially played along with the common assumption that the song was based on Rosanna Arquette, who was dating Toto keyboard player Steve Porcaro at the time and coincidentally had the same name. Arquette herself played along with the joke, commenting in an interview that the song was about "my showing up at 4 a.m., bringing them juice and beer at their sessions."
