No official stream. People at the Pit are usually good for posting FB live streams etc.

God bless all these people who can’t just enjoy an experience without using it as a way to improve their social media credentials.

He is using just one high tom... for the first time in a PJ Gig since what? 2007? Usually he uses two.
There is a new floor tom next to his snare. This one he already had in DotC video.
Wow yea that is so weird!! I wonder what kind of fills we will get then. He does like to go around the kit a fair bit and I know his fills and beats pretty inside out so super intriguing.

not gonna lie, Ed on that RM soundcheck video sounded pretty good. there were a lot of drawn out notes where i fully expected some vowel-mashing and syllable-adding, but instead he just held the note. Ed

Hope this is brilliant.

Throw in one of the traditional set closers (RITFW, Baba, etc.) and this sounds like a significant chunk of time of the band's first show in several years dedicated to paint-by-numbers classic rock covers.

I just don't get it, particularly the Floyd cover.

Pearl Jam encore, circa 2031 (probably):

Comfortably Numb
Stairway to Heaven
Hotel California
(Don't Fear) the Reaper
Smoke on the Water
Alive
Rockin' in the Free World

Omg right?!
That was like two beers ago, but it seemed right. At least he had “out on the porch” and “boxer or the bag” right.

Alas, no potato wave

I realise a playing a bunch of covers has now become standard for the band over the years, but I still think it's strange.

I can't think of any other bands of their stature with a deep catalogue of their own who rely on 'hey, you guys all know this one!' covers, like a party/wedding band.

Yes team spenno (who is definitely the originator of this hot take re: covers)

I think complaints about too many covers have been made since at least the 2003 tour.

Exactly. 18 years now.

I don’t know. It’s just a bummer that some rmers are constantly always coming in and being bummers.
