That's a lot of songs since Avocado.
I hear that, and I think it's because this studio version is just a tad too fast; but eh, it gives it kind of a rough-take charm

best closer since "All or None"

it's not too long, I could get lost in it for even longer; it's very meditative

this version is sooooooo much better than eddie's solo version. despite some of the vocal deliveries (e.g., "can be tamed" at 2:17 and "here and now" at 3:39), i think that they did a really good job with this song.

just outstanding as a closer; I needed a few listens to unlearn the live version, but fuck yes! these are my boys

I'm liking the album version more than the demo/Eddie solo.

that's what I think, but I guess we'll find out soon enough when we see the liner notes.

Man, the first verse really seems like it wants to be more sensitively sung than Eddie is singing it. I almost wish he used his deep voice for it like the beginning of All or None

"I want this dream to last for hever"
"I wish this moment was never hending"

this was a joke, but I actually do genuinely like how Matt's tom's could come right off an 80s pop hit like that

kalimba matata!

Yeah, I was super ready for the band to ruin this with their choices. What an awesome surprise.

Is that the bass that darts in and out? Or is it another instrument?

I want to like this so much but I..just...don't. I love the Ed solo/pump organ version. The lyrics (sans the "government profiting" stuff which is just out of place) are great. I'm OK with embellishing it some but the plucky bass and drum rolls just don't work for me. Was hoping we'd get some tasteful Mike solos and Stone on the resonator ala "Thumbing My Way". Maybe it will grow on me but I prefer Retrograde as the closing song.

Ed´s version is great but damn, this studio version is wrecking me.

it's incredible. really think it's underrated based on most people's replies so far.

I think this song is really good... a great closer. I only listened to the ed version a couple times and that was months ago, so that had no influence on opinion. This is one of my top 5 on the album.
