I read this to mean this summer’s Europe tour will inevitably be postponed for another year.

You should probably read it to mean that Ed was pandering to an Aussie outlet

what are they going to do with the songs that directly reference trump? outdated or still relevant?

I guess it depends on if they play shows before Trump officially announces his candidacy for 2024.

Trump isn't president, but Trumpism is arguably stronger than it was when those songs were written. Even if he doesn't run again, he'll be a kingmaker for other chud candidates until he dies.

I feel like the US will be last when they start touring again, expecting something like late 22 early 23 for US shows.
Which tbh increases the likelyhood that I attended the final Pearl Jam concert in America.

i would figure given how variable the situation is and generally fucked up international travel is that it would be more reliable logistically to begin in the US

The article on the cancellation of Werchter 2021 is written in French:
Thom Yorke, Pearl Jam ou AC/DC avaient d’ores et déjà annoncé qu’ils ne tourneraient pas à l’été 2021.
"Thom Yorke, Pearl Jam and AC/DC had already announced they would not tour during Summer 2021."
I guess the band is currently cancelling the Euro tour with the different venues, there might be an official statement soon.

Euro refund window extended 1 month until May 1. I'm not sure how to interpret that.

I take it as - they want to run, but will cancel if too many people take refunds.

Late 22? That would be a serious abundance of caution.

We all know Eddie is going to prioritize Oceania when they hit the road again.

I don't read this forum often, so apologies if y'all have already tackled this but are there odds on what song they'll open with first?
Does anyone not think it'll be Corduroy?

I'm guessing the revised touring schedule will look like this:
Oceania in early 2022
Rescheduled US Dates in either Fall 2021 or Spring 2022
Rescheduled Euro Dates/Festivals in 2022

It would be peak Pearl Jam to open with the song that fans don't know how to sing along with anymore.
