That's without looking at Stip's list, and not including at all how much I would like to listen to the songs now. Just top songs from the early 90s.

Lets find out

Great songs
Ten: Even Flow, Alive, Black, Jeremy, Oceans, Porch, Release

Vs
Go, Animal, Daughter, RVM, Small Town, Indifference

Vitalogy
Last Exist, Not For You, Tremor Christ, Nothingman, Corduroy, Betterman, Immortaltiy

Evidently incorrect. Lets just all agree (even you, Anders) that there are more great songs on these 3 albums than any other and then close down the forum.
I would add Once to the Ten selection, subtract Oceans.

I'd add Dissident to the Vs. selection simply for Ed's amazing vocal. That ending has one of his best ever clean, high notes. "Escape is never, the safest place".

I'll add STBC to the Vitalogy selection.

Other than that, I agree. :)

For me:

Once, Even Flow, Alive, Why Go, Jeremy, Oceans, Garden, Deep, Release

Go, Animal, Daughter, Dissident, WMA, Blood, RVM, Rats, Elderly Woman, Indifference

Last Exit, STBC, Not for You, Tremor Christ, Whipping, Better Man, Satan’s Bed

Deep, Garden, Dissident are in the tier below those on my list. STBC is meh, along with most other songs not listed.

Not to insult anyone but I couldn't wrap my head around it for a long time. I have learnt to accept that some people just have different tastes in PJ. It's all good. If we were to do a poll outside the forum (hypothetical; I know we can't really do one), I'd put money on most listeners (casual included) putting the first 3 albums in their top 3 or 4 PJ albums.
This reminds me of my conversation with some fans waiting in the GA line for the 2018 Wrigley show. I told them Binaural was my favorite album and their looks of stunned disbelief make me chuckle to this day.

Black and Porch suck. Corduroy and Immortality kinda suck too.

Binaural is truly excellent.

If I select the great songs from Gigaton, it would look like this:

Quick Escape, DoTC, Seven O'clock, WES, CTG, TTLW, Alright.

River Cross and Buckle Up fall short of being great but are very good. Retrograde and Never Destination are good, not songs I'll skip. Hence, my opinion that Gigaton is at number 4 for me at this time.

Certainly not all those listed.

I'm not sure Gigaton is going to be better than the top 4-5 records from PJ's first half of their career, but I think it's their best since Riot Act, and maybe even Binaural (I'm a bit less certain on that second point). Considering the strength of PJ's first half of their career, that's a pretty sizable achievement this long into their run.

Buckle Up is the one I find myself really going back to. Wonderful song.

I will never be able identify with anyone who says Black or Porch or Corduroy or Immortality suck or that Binaural is truly excellent. Yet, that is an opinion that some people have so I have learned to deal with it.

At least 7 great songs on Gigaton. That is how I feel.

I don't know how many all timers there are on gigaton, but every song is satisfying. I prefer that, I think, to a Yield, which has some of my all time favorites surrounded by songs I just don't care about.

For me, at least, the only two pearl jam albums post Vitalogy with a high concentration of all time favorites are Yield and S/T, but I would place both gigaton and backspacer ahead of them in my rankings

Yield is definitely superior to me, but I'm surprised how certain I feel that this is better than S/T. The latter album has definitely come up quite a few notches for me in the past few years.
