Just for anyone not following along in real time, it wasn’t good enough for you to change the title of my thread multiple times, you had to lock it and merge the content to a thread you are now going to take credit for and control. Am I missing anything?

Yes.

It wasn't your thread. You never created it. I made the thread. I created it and merged posts from a different thread into a dedicated thread for they band.

Yours was the first post because of a timestamp. Basically, you're upset and throwing a fucking tantrum about nothing.

I then merged that old thread -- that, again, I created -- into a new thread -- that I created -- because you kept changing the thread title. So I did my job and cleaned it up to stop your unnecessary shenanigans.

I'm glad that's settled. Maybe now you'll calm the fuck down and stop derailing the thread.

Goodnight Bammer. Stay classy.

TL;DR: Go to bed, Bammer. You're drunk.

I’m not so sure about that. Sounds like revisionist history.

As always, believe what you want. I can't stop you and have no interest in trying.

Pretty excited to give this a spin soon. My wife is a huge fan and I thought their last album was incredible.

Still chewing on this after 4-5 listens. Certainly more stripped down. Other than Gaslighter, it sort of sounds like a Natalie Maines solo album. My wife is bummed about the lack of vocal harmonies.

No idea what the last page of this thread is about, it’s fucking embarrassing to read whatever it is, but does feel kinda in keeping with this album that strays a little too close to being a vehicle for Natalie Maines to tear her ex a new one over pop production. Absolutely loved the last album, but this doesn’t feel like on the whole it’s going to stand the test of time for me, the songs just aren’’t there.

Wish they’d just let the quieter human elements exist without some pop producer sticking his erect dick in everything.
It certainly leans heavy in that direction.

Guys ... this is a new band with a new identity and a new sound.

Join me to reminisce about their predecessor, the Dixie Chicks. http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtop ... =6&t=15911

It doesn't surprise me that this is your take.

I don't agree. I do wish the vocal harmonies were more prominent but Marny and Emily are doing some fantastic instrumental work. The kind of stuff that's nowhere on Natalie's solo record. I actually hear more of their contributions on this than a good amount of TTLW. They even questioned their role during the making of that album (TTLW).
