I have no dog in this fight but on the list of about five things in life I'd never do again is a red eye back to the east coast. Flew into San Diego for work on Day 1, got in around 9 local time, so my body thought it was midnight. Got up at around 3am local time....flew out that same night around 10:00 so local time. Took much more sleeping mediation than I should have, grinded out an hour or two of sleep before getting back into Philadelphia. Never ever ever again.

SORRY FRIEND, THIS IS ALL A BIT SUS FOR US. LOT OF FAKE STUFF OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. - B

Hello everybody. I am very sadly no longer able to attend Ohana Encore. I have two GA tickets I need to sell, as well as a hotel reservation that I can either bundle with the tickets as an added benefit, or I can simply cancel with no penalty. The hotel is Best Western Plus Marina Shores, which is one of the absolute closest hotels; Google Maps says it is a 9 minute walk (0.6 miles) to the venue. I made the reservation before the hotel knew about Ohana Encore, so I was able to lock in a non-festival rate average daily rate of $231.30. The hotel is booked for Friday (10/1) and Saturday (10/2) night. I just checked on Tripadvisor, and the current cheapest walking distance hotel for the festival dates is the Riviera Beach Resort at $604/night, and it’s rated lower than the Best Western Plus Marina Shores. So if you take on my hotel reservation, you are getting a super close walking distance hotel at nearly $400/night cheaper than what is currently available.

I am well aware that Ohana Encore tickets are selling for under face value on various resale websites. However, as mentioned above, I think it’s plausible that the hotel reservation I have is worth something to someone. So, here’s what I am proposing. Make me an offer on one or both of the GA tickets at any price below or up to face value, and let me know if you want the hotel reservation. Do not offer me more than face value. For the purposes of this post, I am defining face value as the total I paid per GA pass, inclusive of fees & shipping, which is $322.50 per pass. And just to be clear, if you take the tickets & hotel, you are still responsible for paying for the hotel, I would just transfer the reservation to you.

So for example, you might say:

Offering $220 for one pass and the hotel reservation

or

Offering $560 for both passes and the hotel reservation

or

Offering $322.50 for one pass, no hotel reservation

or

Any other offer up to $322.50 per pass

In a few days, I will reach out to whomever offered the most and they will get the tickets and/or hotel reservation, again subject to the restriction that any offers over face value will not be considered.

I can meet in the Los Angeles area to hand over the tickets (I have them in my possession), and we can also call the hotel together at that time and transfer your name to the hotel reservation (if you want the reservation). Or, I can ship the tickets to you. I will only accept PayPal or cash. Don’t waste your time trying to scam me.

Post here, and also shoot me a PM if you are interested.

Cheers

I'm "new" to the board even though I had an account like 15 years ago. Just rejoined to thank WendyCarlosTwin for the 2000 Europe compilation.

Anyway, I went to Sea Hear Now and, after spending a year and a half being super careful with the pandemic, that was kinda too much for me. I'm bailing on Encore, but I have one ticket. If someone wants it, just PM me and we can work something out. I'm not looking for face value because I realize you can get these tickets for less if you look around.

I was there also, and other than Pearl Jam (and the Avett Brothers because people were basically lining up for Pearl
Jam, I thought there was plenty of space. And really Pearl
Jam was my fault because I stood 15 feet or so in front of the soundboard.

The overhead drone shots that show the entire crowd showed a much bigger crowd than I would have guessed. Supposedly, over 37,000 people in attendance on PJs day.

Oh yeah entirely my fault. I thought they did a great job and crowds were manageable. I was probably not too far from you, about 15 feet in front of the soundboard. Never seen so many people pass out before.

The grounds for Ohana seem much smaller. What's the attendance been in the past?

They should have listened to Mama Bear Patti Smith who told them to drink water.

Can we do a side by side with the 2017 inauguration photo for some alternate (rock) facts?

If they actually take the stage at 7:50 and end at 10:50, these festival sets should be sick.

When I was there in ‘19 it felt too crowded. And one particular meat head spoiled what should have been a fantastic evening.
I was at the first one in ‘16 and it was wonderful; my favorite festival experience to date.

White Reaper is listed twice. It may be a typo. Or they may have dropped out.
