Kirk Cousins continues to impress. I think some teams are gonna come after him pretty soon. He can start for a lot of teams in the NFL.

From the little I saw last night, I agree. Pat White also surprised the hell out of me when he had that really entertaining final drive. Granted, it was against third stringers.

Perhaps the funniest thing about week 1 on preseason was searching on Twitter and being amazed at how many Chargers fans are still butthurt at Ed Hochuli.

I just re-added NFL Network to my cable in time for the season (for Thursday night games) - now I know why I cancelled it during the offseason. First thing I saw when I turned it on was a discussion about the Jets QB situation, which was going to be followed by the Eagles QBs. I could just watch ESPN if I wanted to see that crap. :shake:

Heh. Jeff Fisher is pissed because Bernie Kosar said what everybody already knew about Kellen Clemens being a terrible quarterback on the Cleveland broadcast of their preseason game. And because he called out the Rams' receivers as not being very good.

Bernie is still the only reason I'd ever watch a preseason football game.

Unfortunately, Jared Veldheer tore his triceps, which is only increasing the Raiders' chances to win that sweepstakes. :(

They would probably still win the AFC East even without Brady. Mallett, as bad as he is, is still probably the best QB in the AFC East.

And on that note, a report from what a Broncos blog a read calls the LOLJets:

They'll just trade 4 picks to the Falcons who will take Clowney and then draft 4 terrible receivers from Florida and Ohio State.

Atlanta's starters looked much better last night and the defense surprised me. They gave up a long TD but that was the only score in the first half. Maybe Baltimore had a bad night but I'd rather think it was because the Falcons plain outplayed them.
The O-line can get better and let's hope Roddy White's ankle is nothing to be concerned about.

Roddy is fine, he got stepped on when he was trying to jump in the end zone. They were coming out after the next series anyway.

I was impressed with the effort. They came out with a lot more energy than the first week. AQ shipley got absolutely destroyed by Babs.

The 77 yard TD is going to be commonplace as they are very young in the back. I like Worrilow more every week and I think he and Bartu can contribute at LB.

I thought the OL played well last night, I still think the defensive front 7 lacks talent but I feel a lot better after last night.

That, and Mike Smith's teams don't commit that many penalties, way too much sloppiness that needs to be corrected in 2 weeks.

It's so wierd being a Falcons fan though and loving my QB, offense in general, Head Coach, OC and DC's going into a season. I hope Mike Smith is here forever.

The Special Teams though when it comes to covering and returning kicks...... fucking absymally horrid. The first cut is going to be pretty easy.

I don't know if any of us really know how good Mallett is, unless one watches all the Patriots preseason games and actually remembers how well Mallett did in them.

But remember, Belichick won 11 games with Matt freakin' Cassel.

I call bullshit on this study:

I don't know if there's anything can convince me to put the Cowboys on the top of this list. I keep thinking that they accidentally reversed their spot with the Packers' spot (#14? Really?). Also, as much as I would love it if they would give up their fandom, Raiders fans are undeniably diehard. If any AFC West should be at the bottom, it should be the Chargers (#11? No way.).

All I know is that Lambeau has sold out every game since the 60's. But capacity level? Not even close to Cowboys stadium. But remember people also visit Cowboys stadium because it's basically a theme park. All die hard fans? No way.
