What is this song? It sounds like a slowed down MFC. Oh I think it's that intro they do sometimes to it. I like this. Where does this song come from anyways? Is it a cover, or is it improv?

It might be too stiff for him.

It's just a little ditty they played as an MFC intro for a few years starting in the summer of 1998. It's a Pearl Jam original.

But it has Jack Irons on drums.

I liked the guitar on the little intro better than the one they actually use when they kick in to MFC which took me out of the cool transition. But it's ok. This is a muddy guitar.
My favorite part of MFC is the parts after the choruses. This version doesn't disappoint.

at the end.

GO!!!!
Ed's a little too wild here.
Matt is having fun I think.
Good stuff though I don't like when Eddie takes it too far to the point he sounds out of breath and growling

I meant the tone itself. It definitely changes. The first one was clearer.

I'm surprised that anyone who likes early PJ would listen to 1998 PJ and think Eddie was "taking it too far."
You are an anomaly, Mike Jason. A beautiful, Stip-like anomaly.

EVEN FLOW SOUNDS RELATIVELY CONTROLLED!!!
It's still faster than the album, but I can actually hear the parts.
Ugh but Eddie STOP CHANGING THE FIRST WORD OF THE SONG.
And I also DESPISE when Eddie growls those words when they sound so soaring on the studio track. Just sing them clean PLEASE Eddie.
Usually Even Flow becomes a muddled mess that vaguely resembles itself, this version sounds pretty good, the guitar is clean, and it isn't completely off the walls.
Ughhhhhh just got to the second verse STOP GROWLING THOSE WORDS EDDIE IT SOUNDS AWFUL.
Ha!! Mike shredding in the second verse. Damn!
Good version

I don't like when Eddie growls instead of singing. I like the Eddie we see in his Master of War cover that just has these soaring vocals that radiates power and gives you chills.
