Rangi noted Katipō which is endangered in NZ. No note of that with the general Latrodectus hasselti though, so you may be spot on there.

I don't choose to kill spiders if I can avoid it.

I am not mad and did not relocate. This spider is a fair bit flatter now than it was when the pic was taken.

They are however damn good looking, for spiders.

I honestly don't understand why they don't change the date to 1st March. I appreciate the issues with "Invasion Day" tied to the 26th Jan. I just really miss having a day to celebrate who we are as the lucky country without all the BS.
