Red Lobster seems to be the only one of these that is really inspiring vitriol

I've eaten at Applebee's a few times and have never had anything there that didn't taste like cardboard. And it's expensive, too. I don't know how it stays in business.

Chilis used to have the "guiltless grill" section of their menu that I liked. Such healthy pita options.
Do they still garnish their burgers with a comically large steak knife through the top of the bun?

Also, kind of a cop out list but I'll go
Chili's/Olive Garden
Red Lobster for the biscuits and popcorn shrimp
Applebee's
Been a minute since I've been to any of these places, but Chili's will also have a special place in my heart for being the restaurant where we ate the night my wife went into labor. Last meal before being a parent was a plate of southeast egg rolls.

Red Lobster is the only one that I would even consider eating at. It's not great at all, but at least the food is fresh(er).
Olive Garden salads are fine. But everything else is dogfood.
Chili's and Applebees are a distinction without a difference. Both horrible.

Chili's is the only one of these four restaurants that has given me food poisoning. Like, crippling, ruined the entire bathroom, almost didn't make it the next day, lost out on a scholarship because of it, food poisoning.
Also, it's super bland. And tacky. When you're a Mexican themed restaurant and the thing people order most is the burger? You're doing it wrong. Fuck Chilis.

I’ve never thought of Chili’s as Mexican themed, huh.
Tell the story about the lost scholarship.

Kinda F’d up that they are open the other 6 days of the week, honestly.

I thought that was a weird descriptor too. Not really sure what Chili's
is now that I think about it. It's kinda Mexican adjacent, I guess. There's nachos and dippy things on the menu and maybe a few items with some Mexican spice to it, but overall I think Chili's just kind of invented its own category of being A. some place B. with food C. in America.
