Did you watch a special birthday movie?
We went to another city for a few days, where they’ve got a hotel that’s great for kids. So I spent the day swimming and playing with our five year old. We went to a Chinese restaurant later that day. Great food.
I had an Apple tv connected to the tv in our room, but it was not a pleasing experience watching anything there, and little time to do so.
When I didn’t have kids, in the 2010s, I watched Some Like It Hot on my birthday several of those years. Did consider putting it on, but instead I watched a couple of mediocre modern westerns those days. Don’t think watching them at home or in the cinema would have made a big difference.
Watched The Summer Book when I arrived home yesterday. Lovely movie (although probably not for everyone).
