its weird that they do it all the time in the US but they dont quite mess with the crowds in South America with are lets say...a little more vivid.

Seems like in the past ed would make sure people got attention with out stopping the song

Josh didn't participate in every song but he has a lot going on in his corner including drums

Kind of a weird crowd. I think that is now par for the course.

To my disappointment they didn't loosen up on the dark matter template much except nixing the bears jersey and the hat for the first few songs. Need to get their moneys worth out of those background videos

Yet they still managed to hold back all of their most played songs for night two

It is still the Dark Matter tour. I do wish the slow opener/porch closer/covers and alive encore were junked for something fresh to set this little jaunt apart. Take some risks. Play some Gigaton and Dirty Frank and Rival and Get Right and bring back Hail, Hail and Animal and RVM as regular songs instead of DTE and Corduroy. Their catalog is vast and most of it is criminally underplayed.

Practically retiring brain of j, hail hail,faithful, all of gigaton, binaural, riot act. they play one weird song every night like Leatherman but so much is getting lost. With lightening bolt, gigaton etc tours they loosened the template each year and shows got better. Too formulaic, we are at the mercy of how cool whatever random is that gives Ed a song request. I do still appreciate the chance to see a show as time on this earth is short.

I support this. Except for Corduroy. Unless it has the fucking call and response.

I don't know if the boot will bear this out but I thought DtE and present tense were good renditions. DtE seemed particularly good compared to recent history. DM, wreckage and running had a good response from the crowd
