The CD Thread: Still Listen On Disc, Don't Stream

Color me very annoyed, by the way, that Loosegroove didn't release the last Brad album and Painted Shield 3 on CD.
CDs were great for Pearl Jam side projects that I figured I'd never listen to again like Painted Shield.

Brad is a little above that line, but I don't own any of their other albums on vinyl, so now I have to by an LP and my Brad collection is 5 CDs and a record?
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

My first CD was Public Enemy. My first Columbia House/BMG CD was Pearl Jam - Ten.

I have a ton of old PJ unofficial boots that someone here gave me.

I remember that CD being played on repeat.
The dread of realizing I'd never be able to pull off that look.

The first CD player I ever saw was my brothers. He got Paul Young's 'No Parlez' free when he bought it.

First CD, Boyz II Men - II

First CD I purchased with my own money, Pearl Jam - Vitalogy.

I remember picking it up at the Wal-Mart in the town my grandparents lived the weekend of my Grandpa's funeral. An intense record for a sad time in my adolescence. Balm for a 12 year old's grief.

I don't know how you guys remember what your first CD was. No idea what mine was.

Actually, that's probably because CDs were already the dominant form of music media when I was born. Haha you're all old

First CD is weird... My introduction to CDs was in 1990 (I think).
Pops sold a car to an audio shop guy and an Aiwa stereo system was part of the deal I guess.
It had a 5 CD changer, so a totally random selection of 5 CDs became our first 5.

I only remember 2 of them:
- Timbiriche which was pretty popular at the time.
- Ednita Nazario a lady I had never heard or seen before... Terrible music, but I remember having a pre-teen crush with the CD cover
Spoiler: show

I have no idea what the first CD I had around the house was, but I remember the first one I bought with my own money. It was The Offspring's Americana, using money I received for my 12th birthday!

My first CD came with my first CD player. It was a big shelf system.
