What does Langdon need drugs for anyway? He’s a ridiculously good looking doctor; grow up, man

Two episodes left. I'm starting to like Santos even more after
Spoiler: show
what she pulled with that puerto rican patient.
Also when she
Spoiler: show
revealed that she spoke tagalog.

We started it last night. Got the first two eps in. Really good. Very real. Although I know it’s a much different beast now, it kinda made me miss working in a hospital.

I've been thinking that Dr. Robby's watch was a Hamilton Khaki Field this whole time, but it's actually a
Spoiler: show
Seiko
which makes him more relatable to me.

Love love love that he wears it on a Nato strap. The perfect watch aesthetic for professionals who move around a lot.

watched ep 1 last night, good stuff. looking forward to more.
Spoiler: show
not sure why chasing a kid who might carry out a school shooting triggers a pandemic flashback for our hero, but whatever. seemed like a clumsy way to quickly feed in a bit more backstory and angst to his character.

There’s exposition that goes more into depth with regards to that flashback. Without being too spoilery
Spoiler: show
His mentor’s death from Covid and wondering if he could’ve done anything differently to save him. He didn’t want to make the wrong call on the kid

Spoiler: show
So is the Asian kid who turned blue the actual Pitt Fest shooter, or an accomplice? Thought they were going that direction during his conversation with Santos, but nothing was really resolved.

We watched the one where
Spoiler: show
the 6-year-old died from drowning in the pool yesterday morning. Those scenes with her sister making her that card and saying she had saved her absolutely wrecked us.
Then last night, we watched the one that
Spoiler: show
had Robby firing Langdon. When they first started hinting towards it, I figured it was a red herring. But as it went on, you knew something was going to happen. So it wasn’t unexpected, but damn!
Still huge.

Power watched this over the weekend. Good show. I forgot how much I like Wyle. Dr Mel was my favorite.

I read earlier today this started out as a continuance of ER. Which, of course, it certainly felt like. But Crichton’s widow wouldn’t sign off on it. So they reworked it and John Carter became Dr Robby.

We’re still a couple episodes away from finishing.

That Romano scene is etched into my brain. I think that’s the singular moment that comes to my mind whenever I think about that show. Still remember it so vividly. We couldn’t believe it happened.

The Pitt is really good. Essentially a continuation of Dr Carter post-ER. It was conceived and pitched as such, so I just ignore his name and say it’s John Carter.

Would you describe the Pitt as Braddish? Perhaps Bradley?
