No real spoilers. The article talks about how long ago climactic elements of the finale were filmed.

It was fun to go back and see all the near misses, but the dead boyfriend stuff was an unnecessary emotional burden.

I thought it was one of the best eps of the season.

They are just priming you for the fact that the mother is dead when Ted is telling the story.

At this point ... I won't even cry.

And it's a great juxtaposition to Ted. They both have the same ideals (everyone has someone out there who is "the one."), but she has resigned hers while we've watched Ted seek his. Pretty cool.

Although, it does all but kill my theory that she was the girl the computer dating service set up for Ted back in season one. I always thought that would have been a really fun detail.

But, yeah, great episode. One of the best of the season.

That version of La Vie en Rose was gorgeous.

I weep like a little bitch when I watch this show. It's absurd.

I just can't get excited about this one anymore. They are doing all the right things by circling back and touching on everything fans have loved about it in the past without beating them to death, but it's not working for me.

It wasn't bad, but kind of pointless.

Aren't sitcoms supposed to be pointless?

I mean, this show fails the hardest (and so does Modern Family) when it tries to have a meaning plot or underlying life lesson.

So, that pretty much confirmed it, right?
