It’s funny how this game can be beaten even without fully understanding how to power up as long as you can parry and vice versa

Who doesn’t play “Lumiere” while in camp? I can’t imagine anything else comes close.

40 seconds into “Rain from the Ground” the theme from the Goblu fight is one of the best battle themes

Fuck yeah. They should play this at all sporting events.

Better yet, have Lorien Testard do the Super Bowl halftime show next year.

Rolled credits but still have plenty to do. What a game — the amount of effort, artistry, and talent that went into this is staggering.

Are we getting a sequel focused on the Writers? I’d love to wield a pencil.

Yes but it’s only a text-based DOS prompt game

I keep imagining what the brainstorming meetings must've been like for Sandfall:

Guy: "Okay, what about this?"
Francois: "That's fucking awesome but what if we do that, make it twice as big, and then have twenty other things happening at the same time?"
Guy: "Fuck yeah, dude!"
Jules: "Yeah, but what if we also add 40 more things to that and then make it look like everyone is doing acid?"
Raphael: "I like the cut of your jib, mon ami! Can we also have a giant, fat guy filled with wine that can fly by flapping his arms?"
*director walks in*
Alexandre: "Okay, guys, I need you to do all that but multiplied by 40,000 and then make the game 147 hours longer."
Everyone: "Hell yeah!"
Alexandre: "Almost forgot: I also need you all to make one of the greatest stories in the history of video games and sucker punch the player if they choose that ending."
*solemn nods of contemplation*
Everyone: "Vive le France!"

I imagine this dev group has carte blanche (that's French!) to do whatever they want with their next game, but I think they've said they want to stay in this universe.

Really? I'm a little surprised they wouldn't try and do something completely different based on their creative capacity. That said, I'd be thrilled to spend more time inside (or outside) the Canvas.

Maybe a different canvas entirely?

I don't see why they couldn't focus on Painters vs. Writers in the "real" world. Magic clearly exists in the real world and not just in-canvas.

Either that or we are gonna focus on the Writers and go into their Notebooks. Maybe the Notebooks are infected with paint!

And what do the musicians have to say about all this? Are the thespians involved?

That’s for the second and third sequels.

Over the level 90 hump and breezed through Frozen Hearts and, for the most part, Renoir's Drafts.

I still need to spend time on actual builds; I've just been focused on getting all of the pictos I'm missing lately. Verso's the only one doing consistently big damage.

I had to make a very specific build to beat Simon. I don't have the time or patience to deal with his nonsense.

Lune with the Trebuchim. The Elemental Trick > Elemental Genesis hits very hard. You can often fill all four stains in one turn and then hit enemies with the Genesis in the next turn with the "Cheater" pictos. Her Level 3 Gradient Attack with all four stains filled is also deadly.

The platinum trophy has been earned. This will be a very enjoyable replay in the future.

The only thing I missed on my first playthrough was the mime in the prologue, so that was my last trophy earned to get the plat

That's easy enough! I'm just glad they patched in another area to get the old key because I missed it the first time.
