I took the red pill on this one long ago. Feel fortunate you got to enjoy Unemployable Shania-free for all these years.
It used to ruin the song for me, but I actually have come around on it and now think it is one of the better songs on Avocado.

I love the lyrics of this one....Ed´s ability to sing from another perspective, the playfulness, the darkness about this deranged guy singing about a woman on the cover of an album...

The only PJ song that reminds me of Shania Twain is LTRP. Not JG nor Unemployable.
JG reminds me a little of Thin Lizzy, and for what it's worth, Unemployable always gave me a Sheryl Crow vibe.
