I guess not since Universal is handling this.

Got mine today, and the quality seems good. There's some crackling on the very beginning of Side B, and I noticed a minor skip in Sirens, but that coulda been dust. Did anyone think Side B sounded better than Side A, in general? I'm not talking skips and stuff, just the clarity and depth of the music.

It's supposed to be 180g...according to a google cache of the vinyl page because it's currently missing in the PJ shop.
They still haven't shipped mine.
It doesn't seem any different from my other recent Ten Club purchases, so unless they've been fucking with me for several albums, it's 180g.

Just opened mine. Haven't played it yet but it's got a mean scratch on each side.

Sounds like it to me.

I bet 10C tells me to go fuck myself. No pops or visible damage to the record

Spinning now, and it causes it to skip like 10 seconds into Getaway, pops all over the end of Getaway so far.

It's a shame too because overall the sound is pretty good for a Pearl Jam LP. Leaps and bounds better than Backspacer.

And another skip causing the LP to just loop at the end of Getaway.

I've read it could be a result of them cramming too much music onto one slab. I've never paid that close attention when I'm listening, other than turning the volume up if it's too quiet. The standard of "good and loud" is right around 30 for most records, but LB and a few others I crank up to 35 or so to get that.

When I played mine it was at a normal volume level. I didn't have to crank it significantly louder than any other record really.

x-posted from the ob vinyl thread:

the lightning bolt lp from 10c showed up today. the gatefold has a dent on a bottom corner, a 2" tear on the bottom vinyl-side pocket, and two tears on either side of the inside seam. the vinyl sleeve has 3" tears on two of the three sides. high quality special packaging indeed.

will play the vinyl when i get home tonight. it looks bad (scuffs, debris, but no obvious scratches), so i'm not expecting a clean listening experience.

What the hell happened that almost all of em are fucked up in some way? Were they just tossing them round the warehouse before sending em out? Using them as doorstops? Coasters?

it's because of the high quality and delicate nature of the special packaging

beyond obvious

They cut off the ending of the video where Tim Bierman eats pasta on select vinyl copies of his choosing.

For those who have sent an e-mail requesting a replacement: what did you include for proof of purchase? A screenshot?
