Is that the norm for this tour? I haven't been paying close enough attention.

If you want it, I think the $400 buy it now option on eBay is a good deal. There are only 65 in existence.

On paper this show looks like kind of a dud.

I always secretly hoped that would be the case
Meeting Chud was a great start to a cool night. Although, seeing as he was in better seats, now it's official that he's a bigger fan than I am.
I really enjoyed the pendulum, long road, sometimes, corduroy opening. It felt like the band wanted to make it special for those in attendance, and they certainly delivered. So many highlights for me, alone might be #1 on the list. The ed rants were classic ed... In a bad way, but if that's what we need to endure for a great musical performance, then I'll take it!
Completely agree with Chud on the sound. I commented at least 4 different times to my wife that is sounded perfect. Glad my 7-month gestation could hear what I believe was a special night.

Good morning fellas,
I write here from my hotel room completely exhausted and sick as fuck after last night. After attending 29 shows and this being my 30th. I have to agree with my friend who came with me, (keep in mind, his first show was msg 2 in 2010.) it was a very fun show, the band was loud, the crowd was insane, probably the loudest crowd since msg 2 and Montreal in 2011. But it was very uneven, it felt like every time they were gonna take it up a notch, they brought it back down.
Don't take this the wrong way, it was awesome, but the encores were a little sloppy and Ed was so amazed by the crowds he stop singing a lot. The band energy was amazing and most of the songs were pretty tight. Save you was messed up, life wasted too, fuckin up was a mess and future days was really fucked. All in all in was a fun show, one I wanted and my ears are still ringing. Ed stay very on line in his gun control speech and was very talkative and drunk throughout the night.
Before eruption and Ed mentioned to the crowd that they played a song here that they said they would never play again, but he remembered this was the place and that was pretty much the reason for playing it again. The funniest shit was some fan drew a poster of Matt Cameron dressed as mc hammer and the poster said can't touch this. Ed gave It to Matt as a anniversary gift.

I don't often take issue with the band's setlists but that's a brutally boring run of songs (save Porch).
The continued appearance of those Van Halen covers in the band's sets is truly perplexing.
they played 'aint talkin about love' twice, in the same place for a specific reason. what are you talking about?
and GTF might be one of the most uplifting live songs pearl jam plays. "boring" is the last word i'd use to describe that song.

if I have to hear a cover, I'd be thrilled to hear Ain't Talkin Bout Love instead of RITFW for the 8 millionth straight show...

The one previous time they unwisely pulled that one out must've made a pretty significant impact on me (and they have let Mike play Eruption more often than that, it must be said).
Honestly, even if it were only two Van Halen covers in their entire 23-year career, that's probably two too many. At least.

This is the superior VH cover, btw.
Anyway, I ended up going last night. Total shit stain of an area, but yeah, it sounded great and the crowd really was into it. There was some vocal frustrations early on, anyone else notice Ed looking pissed during Long Road? However it ended up being a surprisingly killer show, but it in no way topped BK2, as that would be damn near impossible. I thought if this was the only show I saw this tour, I'd be satisfied as it topped both Hartford 06 and the MSG shows I caught in 08 and 10. Hoped for RVM but Porch rocked even after seeing in Brooklyn last week. I loved the acknowledgment of Bridge School this weekend leading in to Fuckin' Up, didn't see that coming. Happy I got to see these two shows. For all the times I think I'm done with these clowns, they always seem to reel me back in by putting on a solid 3 hour show that pretty much held my attention the entire time. Theres a lot to be said for that. When it comes to big, dumb, arena rock, these dudes are tops.
Would of been nice to meet up with some of you guys, but I didn't get a chance to make that happen.
