Out of curiosity I went to look at the world totals for those. One hundred forty-two million fucking copies of those three combined. That's just unreal.

What's the difference?

There can only be one best. two-three tops. I think it's a more interesting thread if people limit their choices.

and, as someone with a total of 4 posts in a thread I did not create I am uniquely qualified to set the ground rules for posting within it.

It's like saying this board would be more interesting if we could only talk about the one or two best bands ever (The Beatles and Led Zeppelin obviously).

You have -6 ability to weigh in on this. Granted, if your sole existence is to talk idiocy about music, you succeed; but for real, shut your whore mouth.

Peeps wrote:aerosmith
either toys in the attic, rocks, draw the line or remove toys and add night in the ruts
Def Leppard
high n dry, pyromania, hysteria
U2
the joshua tree , achtung baby, zooropa (im not including rattle and hum since its kind of a greatest hits mix)
Judas Priest
screaming for vengence, defenders of the faith, turbo
Iron Maiden
Number of the beast, piece of mind, powerslave
For U2, I think most people would go Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree and Achtung (I also think most would also skip Rattle and Hum), or War, Fire, Joshua
Agree on Priest and Maiden tho

This might work better by genre. For example Peeps Def Leppard run for my money is the pinnacle of the 80s pop metal scene. Might be able to get some consensus if broken down that way. Probable not. Definitely not.

Ozzy Osbourne - Blizzard of Oz, Diary of a Madman, Bark at the Moon. BatM is a drop off but worth it to capture the first two.
Steven Wilson - Harmony Korine, Grace For Drowning, The Raven That Refused to Sing.
Van Halen - ll, Women & Children First, Fair Warning.
Genesis - Selling England by the Pound, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway, A Trick of the Tail.
Adam & The Ants - Dirk Wears White Sox, Kings of the Wild Frontier, Prince Charming. Much like with Ozzy, the third album.
