BTW, the problem with my K-Cup maker was an errant air bubble. I almost dished out $300 on a new maker because of pure laziness.
I also de-scaled the maker this weekend. It runs very smooth now.

I've heard great things about Keurig's customer service. You can call them about about a broken machine and they'll often just send you a new one without asking too many questions.

Makes your house smell like vinegar too.
A necessary evil.
Oh sure, but don't plan on any aromatic delights that day.

What's everyone's preferred flavor/character when it comes to roasted beans?

I'm not a big fan of diluting my coffee with any other ingredient, but sometimes a good cortado hits the spot.

Austinites and former Austinites, what is your opinion of Buzz Mill Coffee? It seems fairly new and I hope that it succeeds. The baristas seem to know their shit, and it has this really cool Great North Woods thing going for it. The interior and the music reminded me of my time in New Hampshire last October.

I recently moved to New Orleans and they're all about putting some chicory in their coffee (at least the guys from the French Market area).
I purchased a bag and it makes a very robust and dark coffee. I like this chicory in coffee mix.
And yes, French Press for the win!

Do y'all have specific / favorite types of coffee you always drink? We have a k-cups at the office, so I normally rotate between the medium and dark roast coffees. My favorite is French roast, followed by Italian roast. I don't like the flavored ones at all, they're all kinda gross.
At home, I normally go for Peet's coffee, and switch between French and Colombian.

I used to love drinking dark roasts...bitter and bold. More recently I've been going with the lighter/medium roasts. They don't seen to fuck with my stomach as bad. Also, never cream or sugar. I go back and forth with the k-cups, and old fashioned.

I've started to slowly mix in the light roast too. Kona and Breakfast blends have been in the rotation lately.

seems alright...I watched a house that had one. I would only be hesitant, based upon the price of the pods, and availability.

Nothing better than French press... I literally cried when I broke mine.
