My pool is 11m (or 40 feet) long. My biggest challenge is in staying focused on the counting laps. I'll be happy when the putdoor pool a block from me opens in May. That's at least 25m long.

So i'm doing a 4 mile fun run Feb 2nd. I'm shooting for 26 minutes. I want to load my ipod with 26 minutes worth of playlist so I know if I am pacing myself correctly since it will be such a short race and no info on splits, ect. along the way.

The number one most played song on my ipod is He Films The Clouds pt. 2 by maybeshewill. This clocks in at 6:43. That still leaves 19:17 of music left to fill. Anyone got any good suggestions. I listen to a lot of Explosions in the sky, sometimes NIN is good during a run.

So lets hear it, what is that song that really gets you guys going while working out?

When going for a fast pace I tend to run to Blink-182 Enema of the State. If I'm for a long run, I tend for longer songs I can get lost in and hopefully not notice time/miles going by.

They may also be the most insecure group of people I've ever come across. The way they look down on any other type of work out and get so annoyingly chatty about CrossFit - just screams insecurity. Some of them even shut down and will try really hard not to talk about it to others.

Also, my friend was showing me some photos of instagram that her sister had "liked" that are CrossFitters. This one chick had a burst blood vessel in her eye b/c she was "challenging" one of the boys. WTF? Pretty sure if you're rupturing things it's too fucking heavy. And it also said, "Crossfit doesn't make you bulky. Cinnamon rolls do.

No, Cinnamon rolls make you fat if you dont exercise and you eat cinnamon rolls all the time. CrossFit makes you Bulky and Douchey.

I could use some warmer, drier weather. Yesterday's run done in 39 degree and rainy weather and this morning's bike ride in 38 degree and a cold down pour. At least it shopuld make the 40 degree mark for the ride home.

Crossfit seems like a bit of a cult. I get the idea of it but why be fanatics about it and why leave yourself so tired that you can't do sports you enjoy.

Warmer, drier weather gets tiresome too, friend. I see clouds or rain and I'm out the door.

I've been sick the last three days. My body aches, my throat hurts, my nose is stuffed, and I ate mcdonalds yesterday. I just hate myself right now.

edit:

this new trailer cheered me up.

Gym was packed out last night but was able to get in a really good 80 minute or so workout. Especially did a job on my legs, wobbly as hell walking out. But I love the feeling day after a workout like that; not sore but definitely aware of your body.
