I wonder why they haven't mentioned any soccer games for him yet.

Im thinking he will leave the show to help his friends from another planet and he will die in the journey.

Heh heh yup, I believe so. As beyond ridiculous as that is, this was my favorite episode of the season.

So Carrie was only pretending she wanted to flee the country? Why did she steal money from her one night stand? Who did she try to trick, the audience of the show? Or wasn't she sure about the plan anymore and really wanted to flee the country? What? Am I missing something? There's way too much stuff that doesn't make sense too me.

Agreed. I think they expect us to shut our brains off.

Oh well, just gonna pretend that everything made perfect sense and hope it was worth it for the rest of the season.

Actually, now that I took a minute to think about it, maybe the plan was hatched when Carrie was released from the pyschiatric hospital. She realized the government was getting her out of it - it was way too easy to get out of there. And, probably at some point, through a back channel or in a direct meeting with Saul, they hatched the plan.

We started the year by talking about what had happened at the end of season two. Carrie and Saul are together, standing there with all of the bodies around them. Clearly, they are culpable for what happened -- Saul and Carrie together. As intelligence officers, the first thing that they would try to do is to turn this tragedy into something positive. That's what they went to work on the day after the bombing. How were they going to catch the guys responsible for this? A plan was hatched quite quickly in the aftermath of the attack on the CIA.

I still enjoy this show for the most part. But, this really could've been a 1 season show.

Will we look back on this episode and say this is the one they jumped the shark?

im concerned but i'm sticking with it.

I guess you could come up with explanations for most of it but they would really need to be pulled deep out of someones ass. It felt like the characters in the show tried to fool the audience and not someone in their world.
And what kind of plan is that anyway? "The terrorists will most definitely contact you! Everything will work out just perfectly. If it doesn't you'll just stay in the mental hospital until they do!" Of course it DID work out perfectly convenient.

I thought that happened during season 2. I forget when though. There's been a lot of head scratching moments.

I was thinking this too. If it was all part of plan why would she even bother going to the bank, wouldn't she already know her accounts are frozen? Plus the whole scene with her buddy with the van, seemed to me that was in there just to fool the audience. I guess though you could make the case it makes sense b/c they know people are watching her and they really have to sell that what's happening to Kerry is legit. That's why nobody knows but her and Saul, even the other CIA dudes think it's all real. Thin but I could buy it.

However your second point is spot on. How do the terriorists even know who Kerry is and even if they somehow know who she is how could Saul possibly have predicted they would contact Kerry?

i liked the episode and the whole Saul/Carrie gimmick too....the last part with her broken to pieces and Saul hugging her...Thats what his show for the most part, their relationship.

As for why did she slept with that guy and went to the bank and stuff..im guessing she needs to act correctly not only for the terrorist but for the CIA too.
