Mind you, half cut on a Friday arvo, most half arsed bluesy rock sounds just fine to me.
Interested to see how I feel after a few listens.

Looks like it'll be ticketmaster. The password for the wednesday presale is "FEVER"
If anyone gets a password for the tuesday presale it would be much appreciated.

The Tuesday code is unique per person. I have mine. Is that TM too?

I'm not entirely sure. One commenter on the facebook page said it would be through LiveNation. Hopefully they send out an email this weekend clarifying everything,

It's through Time Warner tickets. I'm not sure if that site will redirect to TM or LiveNation, however. All shows are setup, but no links are active.

Gotta Get away cracks me up. its so textbook rock n roll but I love it. Great tune. Summer jam.

01 Awesome
02 That drum sound is so sexy
03 A nice enough slow jam
04 I'm a fan
05 S'okay
06 One of my favourites from this record
07 Starts (and ends?) very inauspiciously but that middle section is a thing of beauty
08 It's there but it's not lighting my fire
09 Not much to distinguish it from some of the previous songs / might be a grower?
10 I'm a sucker for this type of arrangement
11 Basic rocker that I'm not too excited about

I think that song has the most plays so far from the album, but I just can't figure out why I like it so much, as it is really simple and kinda corny, but just something about it. Obviously, Weight of Love is great.

Great album. Weight of Love is a monster. It's easily my favorite on the album, maybe my favorite BK song of all time. I can't see that changing in time, it's got everything I want in a song. Love the pink floyd-ish sound in the first two jams.
In Time, It's Up To You Now, and In Our Prime are all great too. I agree with zeb that the drums in In time are sexy as hell, and that middle section of It's Up To You Now is so awesome.
The rest are good. I loved the title track and 10 Lovers at first, but those are fading a little for me. The only song on here that I'm just not that into is the last one. I'll be playing this album for a while.

The album grew on me a bit over the weekend, but again have only been streaming from iTunes, the real test will be in the car/at the gym. Still only dig about half of the songs so far, but that's way better than the first listen. And yeah totally agree that Weight of Love is hands-down one of their best--should be a beast live. Gotta Get Away and Bullet In the Brain are creeping up on me too.

turn blue vinyl version (w/cd) and live at crystal ballroom dvd are the popmarket deal for the next few hours (not all day like usual). $26.99.
I am not a fan of what Dangermouse has brought to the Black Keys.

Was dangermouse on brothers?
I love attack and release and brothers. Think those are still legit keys records. The last two have been fairly poor, although im enjoying turn blue for now.

after a couple listens, this is all i'm compelled to go back for... not that i don't like the album, it feels like a shift for them, but what i'm personally looking for from the black keys is better accomplished on previous albums.

I've been listening to a lot of magic potion.. which I didn't care for when it first came out.. but after this new one, it sounds like the greatest album ever recorded
The one magazine.. I wanna say rolling stone.. Said this is the bk best work.. how much were they paid off to print that shit
