I'm trying to think of bands with diverse followers... kanye maybe?
i assume all those SA shows are just full of people from the Northeast.Kaius wrote:The fact that they can sell out arenas all over the world has to lend some weight to having a fair amount of diversity amongst their fans.
Why would anyone pay attention to the music at a Pearl Jam show?malice wrote:because why in the world would we pay any attention to the music what with ed being all dreamy an' stuff?BurtReynolds wrote:Eddie Vedder gets the panties wet. Women make up a lot more than 10%.

One of my best friends is a lesbian who is a Pearl Jam fan. Her girlfriend is also a Pearl Jam fan.theplatypus wrote:Anecdotally, how many of us know people of color or non cis/het sexualities who are fans of PJ?
I'm not trying to "prove" something with this thread, I'm just curious about this sort of thing

I never worked with any students who identified as hispanic. They'd hurl it as an insult, but they identified as Latino.stip wrote:not to americans there aren't.theplatypus wrote:There are white hispanics, y'know.

I don't know about average, but I can tell you I saw A LOT of ladies at the PJ in Brooklyn. I won't say half, because that's probably an exaggeration. But not far from. Nearly half of the people I saw walking into the Barclays Center (and I waited outside for 2.5 hours watching people walk in) were women.theplatypus wrote:Good call, though I suspect there are more women at the average Gathering of the Juggalos than there were in PJ20.verb_to_trust wrote:Insane Clown Posse?
I don't know. It might be about the same though. This is pretty much what I think of when I think the Wilco fan base / a Wilco concert (keep in mind, I love Wilco):cutuphalfdead wrote:Yeah it really isn't.verb_to_trust wrote:This isn't really true at alldarth_vedder wrote:Wilco.
