Like that flute in "Cherry Blossom Girl" sounds like it's coming from inside your face somehow

Just make sure you're wearing some good cans. Open back if you have them, but not required

I have some Sennheiser PCX 550-II's. Not quite studio quality, but pretty damn good for bluetooth with noise cancelling.

It's so good
Legitimately one of the most enjoyable listening experiences I've ever had. I hear bits of Daft Punk, Aphex Twin, even Boards of Canada in there.

Great call on this one.

:heartbeat: I love Runner so much. I think this album came out at a weird time, and has aged much better now that it's separated from the 2004 commercial market. At the time, I had spent the past seven years or so checking out William Orbit, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Nightmares on Wax, Chemical Brothers, Phoenix, Goldfrapp, Daft Punk, The Avalanches, etc... Plus Moon Safari and 10,000 Hz Legend had made a strong impression. Simultaneously, a lot of the sounds on the album -- the compressed, arpeggiated nylon string guitar, the filtered synth sweeps -- had become commonplace in mainstream pop music.

When Walkie Talkie came out, it felt kind of tired, like I'd heard it a ton of times before, and it wasn't doing anything to set it self apart. But these days I really love all the ear candy, and the sense of joy that permeates everything. Awesome album.
How much acid and ecstacy did you do in the early aughts?

i've never done either.
I did MDMA once and did not like it.
I've done mushrooms several times and loved every second of it.
MDMA is ecstacy!
