The last episode was the first one I genuinely enjoyed. Wasn't perfect but things are looking up.

I like it more and more every new episode. They haven't really gone anywhere with Selina Kyle or Edward Nigma, but they're keeping the characters in the mix for posterity. LOVE LOVE LOVE Oswald Cobblepot and Fish Mooney. The direction they've taken young Bruce is interesting, too. He's developing some mad detective skills, lets Alfred know his place, and is consumed with finding out what's really going on in Gotham. He's the best actor of the bunch.

The Sopranos - like storyline regarding Arkham is pretty cool, too.

Gordon is kinda annoying, and inconsequential to me, but it's a fun show. The cinematography is very fitting, too, IMO.

So the police department is still using typewriters and crt computer monitors, but then Bruce Wayne had a flat screen tv in his house.

id say yes. the show has gotten consistently better each week. gordon and bullock are a great center to the show. each bringing out the dominant trait of themselves a little bit in the other.

Yeah some of the over the top acting is starting to calm down as the actors settle in. Donal is starting to play Bullock straight now and the show is much better for it. Even Will Smith's wife is taking it a little more easy. Surprisingly I'm digging the kids and looking forward to their little adventure episode this week.

the 'pain household is in the middle of a domestic dispute regarding Barbara... I say she's a Ginger, but evidently I'm color-blind because the wife swears she's a blonde...

If you like Batman, then hell yes... It's a ton of fun to see what the writers have done with many of the characters, and the casting/acting is great for a network series based on Gotham City.

Michael Chiklis joins Gotham as a series regular
Image
by Amanda Michelle Steiner

Michael Chiklis has joined yet another superhero franchise.

The actor has signed on for the second season of Gotham as a series regular, and will play Captain Nathaniel Barnes, “who lands on the GCPD like a tornado, ripping out the dead wood of Gotham’s police force,” reads a release from Fox.

Described as a “law and order zealot,” Capt. Barnes will act as both a hero and a mentor to Gordon (Ben McKenzie), “someone with whom he can share the burden of heroism.”

Though he’ll prove himself to be an ally to Gordon, Capt. Barnes’ strong personality and black-and-white outlook on the law may one day make him a powerful enemy.

Chiklis, 51, is no stranger to superhero universes. The actor starred as the Thing in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007), and starred in ABC’s short-lived No Ordinary Family in 2010, an original series about a family with extraordinary abilities.

This is Chiklis’ first foray into the DC Comics universe and it is currently unclear whether his is an origin story for a known hero or villain from the comic-book canon.

I know this show gets a lot of shit, but I'm six episodes in on Netflix, and I'm not hating it.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I thought it started getting pretty good around the Scarecrow stuff and maintained some momentum till the last episode or two.
