I feel incredibly fortunate to have seen Molina play a solo show. A full band set would have been terrific.

Thats how I feel about Bert Jansch.

Bert Jansch was a good gig.

My main missed ones are PJ in 03, 06 and 07. The Who played the Rose Bowl in Southampton. Sigur Ros.

I had tickets to Metallica/Kyuss and Faith No More in early 93 but due to a back injury I couldn't go. I was livid.

Back in the day an up-and-coming and largely unknown L.A. band named Guns N Roses was set to open for Y&T and Ace Frehley. I had zero interest in these two bands, but I was a GNR early adopter. I lined up outside the record store way in advance (not a single soul was there) and scored front row center seats. Super excited! So now it's showtime and I'm front row center and the opening act comes onstage. Apparently GNR bailed on the show and we got another new L.A. metal band instead: Faster Pussycat. :finger:

I did manage to catch the original GNR lineup, but it was two or three years later and a very different band. Needless to say, I was nowhere near the first row.

I have confirmed my stance that Tom Petty is the only living artist that 'll be really disappointed if I never see them (him) perform live.

Jack White is in second place somewhere down the line and I'll probably come back to this thread in about 10 years to lament over skipping his shows in Seattle later this month.

I was of the same opinion, then he added another night at Red Rocks (which is a bucket list venue) while I'm out there in October.

How disappointed was Lament when he did a vanity search and it brought him this post?

Extremely strange to randomly go to p. 39 and see Platypus browsing...

Anyhoo, like I said before... YYY... SSPU...

They don't tour anymore...if they did, would it really be as good as when they were white-hot a few years back? Looks like I missed these boats.

:shake:

I don't think "users browsing this forum" means that the users are literally on the same page with you. I think it just means they're browsing that forum.

Yeah, that's the part I thought was strange... Even stranger, I the. Randomly went to the Porn Titles thread on p. 36, and you were there, too.

Seems a bit stalker-ish.

3 bands are my white whales and two of them were playing the same festival in 95 in ATL.

Earth Jam at Stone Mountain Park-- Jeff Buckley and Mike Watt/EV/Grohl/etc were on the bill. Buckley would have been amazing. And i still love that Mike Watt (Ball Hog or Tugboat) record.

The other is Nirvana, like many others on this thread. They played the Omni in fall of '93. Tickets were available day of show. My friend and i decided we would 'see them next go-round.'
